Mechanical Refinements
The powertrain options are, however, carried over from the previous model, a 1.0-litre TSI tuned to produce 115 PS, and a 1.5-litre TSI vilified to deliver 150 PS, although both engines have been calibrated to offer better throttle response alongside slightly improved fuel economy.
Software tweaks have also focussed on the seven-speed DSG transmission, which now moves up and down gears more convincingly and predictably in town.
Suspension tuning has also been slightly adjusted in response to comments about the current model’s sometimes-firm ride quality over broken urban roads.
